After months of observing the anti-Trump protests, one pattern stands out as both fascinating and damning: the left has repeatedly aligned itself with bad actors who despise the very values progressives claim to champion. This goes beyond mere hypocrisy, it’s self-sabotage on a massive scale.
We saw it with “Gays for Palestine” signs, even as Hamas throws gay people off rooftops. We see it when progressives condemn Trump’s strikes on Iran but remain silent about the regime’s death penalty for homosexuality and its brutal crackdowns on women. Remember the defense of Maduro in Venezuela? Left-wing voices decried U.S. “imperialism” while ignoring a dictator who starved his people and crushed dissent, hardly a progressive ideal. The pattern continues with soft-pedaling downplaying China’s abuses, all because Trump pushed back.
The ironies accumulate: majorities of Americans oppose DEI programs, reject trans women in women’s sports (with polls showing 70–80% opposition), and support protecting children from irreversible gender procedures. Yet protesters treat these as sacred causes, even though Trump’s policies on these issues align with what most voters want. They demand open borders and endless spending, then get triggered when Trump cuts waste and secures the border, policies that reduced net migration to zero and increased affordability for everyone.
This isn’t principled resistance; it’s a professional grievance industry so fixated on stopping Trump that it marches alongside regimes and movements that would jail or execute the very communities the Left claims to protect. When your “allies” include Iranian Mullahs, Maduro, and Hamas, it’s no wonder your movement keeps losing credibility with everyday Americans.

A sign I spotted, proudly displayed at a recent protest rally, accidentally revealed the underlying truth: “If Kamala Was in Charge, We’d Be at Brunch.” The real goal isn’t fixing global crises, it’s control by Democrats rather than Republicans. Many are protesting only because their side lost the last election, and they won’t stop complaining until their side regains power. But boy, do they miss brunch!
Hate him all you want. Trump is delivering results: peace deals, secure borders, fiscal restraint. The protesters? They’re too busy chasing the next monthly grievance(and dreaming of mimosas) to notice.
