Jeany Rush Opposes Three Bills, Supports One
Colorado constituent Jeany Rush submitted testimony on four bills. HB26-1036 would create local tax authority on vacant residential property. Rush objects to new housing taxes and increased government entities. HB26-1082, the Children Are Not For Sale Act, addresses child trafficking. Rush supports this bill noting 400,000 children reported missing annually in the U.S. SB26-097 would decriminalize adult commercial sexual activity. Rush opposes creating legal framework for prostitution. SB26-043 requires record keeping for firearm barrel sales. Rush objects to additional firearms regulations as Second Amendment infringement. Rush cited government employment in Colorado increasing 189% under current administration, three times faster than private employment.
