On Wednesday, like many others, I heard about the shooting of the National Guard members while on patrol. I was stationed in DC decades ago, but I am still familiar with the area.
Then I learned about this Afghan shooter. The first thing I thought about was the blue on green attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq. For the most part, the shooters were all highly vetted by the US government. Nothing to see folks, move on.
Then I learned about Operation Allies Welcome. It was designed to bring in Afghan allies who assisted the US during the conflict. Over 190000 people were brought in by this program and the successor, Operation Enduring Welcome. These people have all been highly vetted by the US government. The problem is, vetting for a program to kill your own countrymen is a different kind of vetting than one to ensure that you can assimilate into your neighborhood. This program ran while the Biden regime had opened our borders to millions of illegal aliens. These people had helped the US government in various ways. In the case of the assassin, he was a highly trained killer. Anyone want to take a guess on how many of these killers have come into the welcome arms of the US?
I have mixed feelings about the role of the National Guard patrolling the streets. My main concerns are whether they are suitably trained for the task or if active-duty members should be deployed there. I have no concerns about the Posse Comitatus Act. I do have a serious problem on why these leftwing radical anti-American mayors and governors let their cities and states turn into third world cesspools. I hold them directly responsible for anything that happens to the troops.
On Thanksgiving Eve, we have two National Guard members shot at point blank range by someone who probably never should have been in the US. On Thanksgiving, the family of Army Spc Sarah Beckstrom, 20 had to say goodbye to her. The family of Air Force SSgt Andrew Wolfe, 24 are still praying for a miracle. Their families will never again think of Thanksgiving as a joyous occasion to be with their friends and families.
Across this great country, our men and women who are patrolling the streets of this country due to political failures are not very concerned about their mission. This recent attack along with the comments from the gang of six congressional traitors makes it even worse.
How many more Americans are going to die because of the failed policies from the Biden Regime?
When you say your prayers, please include the families of these attacks and our men and women in uniform.
